British Airways flight from hell finally lands after three days

A British Airways passenger who was stuck on a three-day flight from hell from Orlando to London told The Post on Sunday that they’ve made it back to the UK — but an apology from the airline is still in the wind.

A plane of 250 British Airways passengers — mostly UK tourists heading back from vacation in Florida — landed near London on Sunday after first boarding a plane in Orlando on Thursday.

Their Gatwick Airport-bound Flight 2036 was scheduled to leave Orlando on Thursday evening, but mechanical issues grounded the plane in Florida for an entire day.

The plane departed Friday evening, but was forced to make an emergency landing at JFK soon after takeoff.

“I’ve slept for six hours since Thursday morning,” Richie Coborn, 43, told The Post in a text message Sunday.

“We had a fantastic time [on vacation in Florida], until all of this. The communication from British Airways is horrendous,” he said. “British Airways is shocking. I will never ever fly with them again.

“No decent apology,” added Corbon, who works as a truck driver in Wales.

A British Airways spokesman called the problems a “minor technical issue” on Saturday and apologized to customers for the delay.
